The
early 50's Studebakers featured unique "bullet-nose" styling influenced
by famous automotive designer Bob Burke. As a result, Studebaker
reached their highest two production years in 1950 and 1951. This
futuristic design became very appealing to Street Rodders and Custom
Car builders, with it's jet aircraft-inspired front end and unique rear
roof line. Mild to wild, the "Stude" Customs offer a welcome escape
from the more numerous Ford, Plymouth, and Chevy Coupes seen at Street
Rodding events.
